Day 1: Fort-de-France

The largest of the French West Indian towns blends cosmopolitan style and local colour, with its urban lifestyle, colourful markets, metal architecture and charming old houses. Stopover for boarding and disembarking. Ship docked in port.

Day 2: Fort-de-France

Day 3: St Lucia

This proud volcanic island is a pillar of ecology, with its two majestic rocky peaks swathed in green and its lovingly preserved surroundings. Ship at anchor, water sports available (no snorkelling), beach.

Day 4: La Barbade

Arrival at 08:00 Departure at 18:00

The Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea make for a fascinating contrast on this small coral island: Its wild, green northern face contrasts with the azure blue waters of the south and their specific fauna and flora. Ship docked, no water sports and no direct access to a beach.

Day 5: Sailing on the open sea

Arrival at 08:00 Departure at 18:00

A restorative day at sea. Choose from the range of inviting possibilities on our remarkable sailing ship. Day 6: Paramaribo

Suriname, and its capital Paramaribo, is a champion of biodiversity, set in tropical rainforest. The magnificent architecture of the old town centre of this former Dutch town, with its wooden buildings and houses dating from the colonial era of the 17th and 18th centuries, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Boat at dock, nautical hall closed.

Day 7: Cayenne

Arrival at 08:00 Departure at 18:00

Around the palmists place, a favourite place for strolling, the remains of the island's colonial past are what makes Cayenne (capital of French Guiana) so charming. The market is bursting with colourful produce, reflecting the colours of the Creole houses. Boat docked in the industrial port area, 14 km from the centre of Cayenne, no water sports, no direct access to a beach.

Day 8: Cayenne
