Short version: 5/5
We had a great trip. All the staff was very helpful and courteous. The cleanliness of this hotel is above and beyond. We have travelled to several chains of hotels and all over the world, and we can say that this was the best vacation we’ve ever had down south. When we can, we typically choose Bonvoy properties and this was our first time at a Club Med and it won’t be the last.
Long version 5/5:
We were travelling with three children under seven. We did not use the kids club although it seems that the vast majority of guests with children send their kids to the kids club most of the week if not the whole week. We were very busy the whole week with our children doing a multitude of activities such as sailing, playing in the ocean waves, building sandcastles, participating in the circus activities like trapeze and trampoline, attending shows, trying out all the foods and participating in the various events that were available every day throughout the whole resort like a mechanical bull riding contest, foam party on the beach, pool party with props, the Sunday night breathtaking Circus Show, the children revues, dance events, etc. One of our concerns was that the language vastly spoken at the resort would be mostly French, but I must say as a mostly anglophone family, we had no issues communicating with anybody during our whole stay. I had read some reviews that the kids club staff might only be speaking French, but although our children did not attend the kids club, I can assure you that it’s not the case. I saw many GOs from the kids club address parents and kids in English, French, Spanish and even Italian, as parents were often dropping off their kids wherever the activities of the day were taking place. Having the schedule of the day on the app was so useful to know where to go if we wanted to be active and do activities, or the opposite if we were looking to have quiet downtime. We could also plan ahead by knowing what was going on during our trip in the upcoming days.
The hotel is currently being revamped (trip was in November 2025). I thought the renovations were going be over but they were still ongoing. However, I haven’t heard any noise from the construction where we were. We were staying in the prestige section of the hotel. We attended this resort while it was the official reopening after their main renovations, and I was absolutely mind blown of the state of the art waterpark facilities, quality of the food at the restaurants, decor and overall vibe of the hotel. We were told by several staff members that the resort was at full capacity while we were staying and I don’t find that we were waiting long times for any services at all and it didn’t feel overcrowded whatsoever. We were quite comfortable everywhere we went and always got great service, no matter if it was at the prestige pool or bar or at the main pool or main parts of the hotel, it made no difference. The service was great everywhere. Even at the busiest times of the day, we could always get a table or a chair wherever we were at the area of our choice. We were pleased to see that no guests were reserving chairs or spaces in the morning only to not be showing up all day. There was always space no matter where or when. Even though it is an all inclusive formula, I haven’t noticed any guests being overserved or acting heavily intoxicated the whole week we were there, which was quite pleasant, especially given the fact that we were traveling with our children. All in all, it was a pretty classy spot.
As for the Tiara experience, it was well worth it. The efficient and private transfer from the airport, the specialized private check-in and check-out experience, the room tour, the welcome messages and treats all felt very welcoming. The room service and breakfast delivery on our back porch with our ocean view and private sun loungers were such a treat. The 24/7 availability of the concierge who always went above and beyond to take care of us was very much appreciated. The Tiara pool which was never overcrowded felt very exclusive and was a good break from the crowd - even though as previously mentioned, was never that overwhelming. The availability of the shuttle - which we just had to request by messaging the concierge anytime we wanted - was a real treat to go from one end of the resort to another quickly - it made our trip so much easier with the little ones and all our beach gear we were carrying everyday. If we were to walk the whole resort though, I would say it would have been a 20-25 minute walk from one end to another at a fast pace, so it’s definitely doable. We had the shuttle availability so we definitely took advantage of that. The drivers were always so friendly to our kids, literally everyone at this resort cares about your experience and want to make your trip as fun and as comfortable as they can and it was consistent the whole week.
A very big thank you to everyone at Club Med Punta Cana but especially
Ms Cristelle - Tiara manager, for going above and beyond for our group
Ms Djenica - Tiara, for her availability, patience and kindness towards all of us but especially our children
Mr Tito - Tiara Bar, for making our children feel so special and important, and creating lasting memories for them
Mr Yesson - Tiara, for his above and beyond service
Sr Yoddy - our favorite buggy driver, who always let the kids sit up front with him
Ms Margot - Joia and beach bar, for her kindness and welcoming, positive attitude
Mr Brian - Tiara, for the nice conversation and hang outs
Mr Will - watersports, for suggesting and organizing such a nice, private and affordable fishing trip with our children (we caught countless fish when we went reef fishing)
Sr Luis - reef fishing, for allowing the kids to live their fishing dreams by catching so many fish and making it magical for them
Sr Frankellis (Blue)- circus, and his female colleague whom I didn’t catch her name - who initiated our children to trapeze with so much encouragement, support, motivation and care,
Special mention: The lifeguards at the beach, the waterpark and the pools who were the most professional lifeguards I’ve ever seen at a resort, always keeping an actually active eye on the swimmers, instead of being distracted and uninterested. There was a shocking (in a good way) quantity of lifeguards present at every single angle of the pools/waterpark/beach. They were all actively watching and enforcing safety rules. I even witnessed lifeguards on four (four!) occasions helping out children who had some close calls in the ocean (parents not watching/too far) and a multiple other times heavily guarding with safety in mind the bouncy pillow at the waterpark and the water slides.
It was wonderful to see how every staff member of this resort cared, whether it was food quality and presentation, service, cleanliness, availability, safety and security, quality of entertainment, professionalism, honestly remarkable.
