Punta Cana Dominican Republic

We are still at Club Med Punta Cana, and I already want to leave a note because it has been a good stay for our family overall.

Our daughter goes to the Petit Club (Tiger group) every day, and she absolutely loves it. The team is warm, fun, and very caring. Thank you to Rose, Arielle, Eliona, Slandra, Kechina, and Wislin for creating such a positive environment for the little ones. Our older child, 5 yo, also had a great time, even though I do not remember the group name.

The tennis program has been a highlight for me personally. I joined the group lessons every morning at 10 am, and I want to thank Germain especially. I took a few private lessons with him and really liked his calm, motivating teaching style. If you enjoy tennis, I highly recommend booking some time with him. Your tennis will improve, I promise.

The newly renovated restaurant and entrance area are well done. The layout is family-friendly and smart. It is close to the stage, so when the kids finish eating, they can go play while parents can still keep an eye on them from the table. This setup brings independence for the kids and peace of mind for the adults.

The overall staff has been friendly, and the Club's energy is positive. This is our fourth visit here, and we continue to enjoy the experience.

That said, there are a few areas that could be improved:

The gym: There are no 20lbs dumbbells, which is precisely the range I need. The next available weight was too heavy, so I had to go back down to 15 lbs. The barbell section is minimal. I prefer fewer treadmills and more functional machines like cable stations. For those who want to run, the outdoor paths and views are amazing already. Go there.

Beach towel system: A towel card policy is in place, but it is not enforced. Many guests do not return their towels and leave them on chairs all day, making the beach appear more crowded than it is. As a result, we went three days without being able to exchange ours because none were available. It would be helpful if this process was better managed.

Room amenities: The rooms are functional but lack basic features. There is no shelf in the shower, nowhere to hang wet clothes, and the soap and shampoo dispensers do not work well. The air conditioning cannot cool below 23°C and gets noisy at full power. These may seem like small things, but for a luxury beach resort, comfort details matter.

Evening entertainment: The nightly shows and parties are always centered around the same group line dances, with the same music and choreography. After a few nights, it feels repetitive. If you are not in the mood to join the group routines, there are not many alternatives before 11 pm. It would be great to have more variety in music or performance styles throughout the evening.

Despite those points, the experience has been positive. Club Med Punta Cana remains a strong choice for families, especially those with young kids. We still have a few days left, but we are already talking about when we will come back.

Had such a blast! The GOs are amazing especially Sahil, Janko, and Leo they were very fun. The locations is perfect and the resort has so many actives running all day and all night. Highly recommend for any and all ages

Great stay at club med punta cana as always. Tennis with Xavier and Germain was super fun and kids club was amazing. Special mention to Ralph who helped us take my son to the doctor and make sure all was good. (In his personal car!) A five+

Club Med Punta Cana is the absolute best!! This is our 9th or 10th time coming and we keep coming back because it’s so good. Great location, beautiful resort, delicious food and fun activities. What makes it the best vacation is honestly the people that work here. They work so hard, day in and day out, to make the experience so welcoming and fun. Absolutely everyone is great but I want to give special mention to the following GOs:

All of the restaurant and bar GOs (especially the manager at Indigo who helped us when we had an issue with our reservation)

We will keep coming back to Club Med because of all the GOs. They are the best!
